This is a website of Markéta Palová, soprano.
Markéta Palová is a coloratura soprano, born in Czech Republic. She has started her musical education as a small child by attending a choir as well as by studying violin playing at the music school in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, the Czech Republic. Later, she has followed singing courses at the music school in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, also in the Czech Republic. She has studied Horticulture at the Mendel University in Brno and during this course, she had the opportunity to visit the Netherlands.
After obtaining a Master degree in Horticulture Markéta decided to stay in the Netherlands where she has started studying classical singing with Sinan Vural at Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg. She performed in the choir of Strauss's operetta Die Fledermaus, and in March 2017 sang the part of the Sandman in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel.
Markéta has also followed Masterclasses with Lorraine Nubar (the Juilliard School), Wolfgang Holzmair (Mozarteum) and with Elly Ameling.
Markéta Palová forms together with Johan Timmermans a voice-guitar duo "MadeInBerlin". Together they are performing pieces from composers such as J. Rodrigo, M. Giuliani, H. Villa-Lobos.
